We don't publish distances or drive times, because an operator's yard is wherever that operator keeps it. What matters for the price is how far the crane travels and how long it is on site, and each quote should spell out any travel charge.
Elko and Spring Creek
Elko
Most in-town lifts are rooftop units on commercial buildings, trusses and structural steel on builds, and equipment set in plant yards and shops. Those jobs usually sit on paved ground where a truck crane or mobile crane can drive in. Tell the operator which street, lot or alley the crane can park in, and about any overhead lines or trees at the set-up.
Spring Creek
A Spring Creek lift is quoted like one in Elko. Typical jobs are roof trusses and steel on builds and rooftop units. Residential and subdivision lots can be tight, so measure the access and the room for the outriggers before you send the request.
Carlin and the mines
Carlin
Carlin is mining country. The Carlin operations are run by Nevada Gold Mines, and local job postings for process maintenance mechanics and drill and shovel technicians point to active maintenance work: pumps, motors and equipment parts that need a crane. Elko Crane Rental does not work for, or speak for, any mine.
A lift on mine property runs on the mine's rules. Expect to need MSHA training records for the crew, the mine's site-specific hazard training, gate and escort details and sometimes a written lift plan. Mine roads and pads often suit a rough terrain crane. Read mine site lifts before you send the request.
Canyons, valleys and ranches
Lamoille
Lamoille sits at the mouth of Lamoille Canyon in the Ruby Mountains. Jobs here are mostly residential and ranch lifts. Say how narrow or steep the access road is and what the ground is like where the outriggers would go; the form has an option for steep or off-road access.
Jiggs and Halleck
Both are rural ranching communities outside Elko. The work is typically a single lift on a ranch or small yard: a steel building frame, a water tank, well equipment. Give the nearest town, the gate or road directions and the ground type. Travel from the operator's yard can be part of the price.
Ruby Valley
Ranches spread out below the Ruby Mountains. Ground can be soft after rain or snowmelt, which matters for where the outriggers sit, and a rough terrain crane may be the machine that gets in. Allow time for the drive.
Tuscarora
One of the most remote places on the list. Ask early: send the access road, the ground and gate directions with the first request so operators can say yes or no before quoting.
The edge of the range
Wells
Wells is at the edge of the range operators cover. A request from Wells can be quoted, but travel time may show up as its own line in the price, and availability isn't guaranteed.
Owyhee and Deeth
These are not on the list above, so ask. Put the location in the form and each operator tells you whether they travel that far.
Battle Mountain and Winnemucca
These are outside the range. A request from either may not find an operator, and we would rather say so than promise otherwise.
Quote a lift in Elko County
Name the town or the mine road in the job site field. If the site is far out, add the access and ground details.
